Ana Maria Polo personal life
Ana Maria Cristina Polo Gonzalez was born in Havana, Cuba. Her family moved to Miami after she reached 2 years old. Ana, who was born in Havana Cuba with her mother and father, both at two years of age, moved to Miami along with the family. In Habana, Cuba, Ana Maria Polo is the host of renowned Telemundo program "Caso Cerrado", the first Spanish language program nominated for the Daytime Emmy(r) Award, and was ranked in 2015 as the number one Spanish-language program in the 4pm hour across all the key demos. Polo was born in Havana in 1959. After graduating from Florida International University's political science program, she relocated to Havana where she stayed for twenty years. Then she earned a PhD in Law at the University of Miami, and worked for 20 years in Miami. She received her PhD from The University of Miami, and later practiced law for 20 years in Miami. Polo first made her appearance on TV in 2001 with Telemundo's Sala de Parejas. She also participated in court shows that tapped into her knowledge. Literature Works and Accolades 1958 novel Los Hijos Muertos won her both the Critic Prize and the Spanish National Prize for Literature. Ana Maria Matute left Spain in 1960 to go to the United States in 1960. Polo is an ovarian cancer survivor, often raises funds for this charity and also speaks at various events. She's been an avid supporter for LGBT rights for the majority of her life. She received her law degree in 1987 at the University of Miami School of Law.
