She is best known for her character Maggie Beckett on the TV show Sliders, as well as in the role of her character, Sheriff Samantha Parker, in the horror-comedy movie Eight Legged Freaks. Wuhrer was born at Brookfield Connecticut as her mother was Karin Noble who was employed as a payroll clerk, and German American Andrew Wuhrer. There are three siblings.
